Our new additon.......Lillian Nicole Barney

Rob took the girls to Idaho to see our new grand daughter, Lillian. Taylor said that Rob cried when he first held her. I had to work so I wasn't able to make the trip. We will be making another trip in January so that I can see her.

Gingerbread Houses

We had a blast with our first attempt at putting together a Gingerbread House.

Josh and I had a kit that came with trees instead of little gingerbread men. Josh decided to be "goofy" and put icing in my hair and then he put the icing on a gum drop and stuck it on mine and Kensie's face. I got him back by sticking green icing on a gum drop and then I stuck it to his forehead.


Rob and Kensie decided to add icicles to their upside down shingled roof to give it a little bit more character.

Taylor and her friend Monty decided that their house needed to be a traditional "first time buyers" house that ended up needing a few repairs by the end of the day.


Mom and Tasha argued about where the purple gum drops were suppose to go and they couldn't decide who was going to add the icing to the gingerbread men.

Do you believe in ghosts?

On the last day of the Asylum 49, I decided to take a few pictures for the memory books. Too many odd things happened that night that makes me wonder if there are really ghosts haunting the halls of the old Tooele Hospital. I took a picture of Michelle and the prom date in the car crash room and just after the flash went off a big gust of wind blew in and rustled the trees in the back ground.


Then right after I took this next picture of Taylor in the "Witches" room, another gust of wind blew in and turned a few of the pages of the book on the right.

When I looked at this picture of Ryan and Zarie there was enough light in the room to make sure the picture wasn't blury and I made sure the settings were correct because I just came out of a darker room earlier. The minute I took the picture, the wind blew again and the black curtain that I was standing in front of blew over my head.
This picture is Rob in the "Pin Head" costume and I can't explain what the red lines are. Kinda makes you have goose bumps just thinking about it.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of the best holidays at work. Pam on the phone in her medival times outfit. Julie, Ashley, and Deone are warm and cozy in their hunting gear.

Jessica, Mindy, Jenelle, Jamie, and Carla dressed up as witches and each outfit was just as awsome and unique as their personality. Great job girls!!

KayLynn, Lori, Cherl, Jen, and Shelli were team "Wanna-hawk-a-lougey" The toughest part was getting all the gear on and being able to walk around without falling down. We had a blast.

Clowns with chainsaws enjoy chasing you around. The other clowns will send you through doors that go around and then back to them until you find the right door.
Sweeny Todd mesmerizes you and then sends you through the meat locker with dead bodies hanging in bags just to come out into Mrs. Lovett's bakery of "shepards pie"
Passing by the bloody gurney bed is scary, but the nursery with scary babies is quite the sight. After getting over the sad nursery, you end up in Dr. Woods operating room.

Asylum 49

This year Taylor is a cast member of the Asylum 49. She is a car crash victim wearing a prom dress. When you go through the Haunted House, she hides in the hood of the card and then jumps out at you and screams real loud. Everyone in the rooms after her know that a group is coming because her scream is so loud. These are a few of her friends. Michelle and Morgan are in the electrocution room. Ryan (Bagukie) is the guy with the chainsaw, he is in the "Hostile" room. Dawson, the guy in the white t-shirt has been Taylor's prom date in the car crash room (he usually wears a tuxedo). I don't remember the name of the kid who is Pinhead in the "Hellraiser" room. More pictures to come, I am going to see if I can get someone to take some professional pictures of all the rooms in the Asylum so they can post them on their website and I can use them in my scrapbooks.
